Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access therapy?

Congratulations! If you are asking yourself this question, then you are one step closer to a more self-aware and more confident you. Deciding that you are going to commit to this process today, is the first step in accessing therapy. From the website, you may reach out under the “Contact” tab, and you will receive an email back from the practice with further information to get started. From there, you will be scheduled and continue your journey.

What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy is a process and a journey. Therapy is just a piece of the puzzle. As is each component, each coping skill, each tool from the tool box. It is important to be surrounded by a number of these resources, many of which we can begin to build together. Through therapy, you can expect to get out of it what you put in. Most of the work is done outside of the session. During sessions is where you learn skills, challenge yourself and access your strengths. From there you can build and practice those resources in your day-to-day life.

How much does it cost?

Sessions are approximately 53 minutes in length. Amanda is in-network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO, and Blue Choice PPO. If you are a member of these networks, you will owe your copay at time of service. If you do not have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, private pay rate is $200*. Credit cards, or HSA/FSA cards are accepted through a HIPAA-compliant electronic medical record software. *Please note that a limited number of reduced-fee appointments may be available upon request.

Can I use insurance?

Theraviv Wellness, PLLC is paneled with Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO, and Blue Choice PPO. Private pay is an option if you are not offered a mental health benefit, or simply if you choose not utilize your benefit. Many may opt-out of using insurance for a variety of reasons. Many times, a client wants to access therapy and their need may or may not fall under the clinical threshold for a diagnosis. Please be aware that insurance companies have the power to audit client charts, if there is a process of diagnosis that they do not agree with, then they have the right to refuse to pay. If this is the case, the client is responsible for the private pay rate. A client who is a member of Blue Cross/Blue Shield is entitled to use their insurance benefit and will be responsible for their portion as determined by their insurance.

What is your cancellation policy?

Remember to cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 48-hours in advance. Late cancellations (cancellation within 48-hours prior to scheduled appointment), and no shows will be subject to a charge of the full fee of the session if notice is not received within that time. The 48-hour notice for cancellation/rescheduling is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and that appointment time is held exclusively for you. Please be respectful of your time and your provider’s. If you are late for a session, you will lose time from the session as the next appointment needs to start on time. However, if there is not another appointment or another time commitment following your appointment, accommodations can be made when possible.
